Other New Faces on the Truckworx-Jackson Municipal Sales Team
Truckworx is excited to announce that as of January 1, Jay Callaway has been named Truckworx’s Vice President of Government Affairs! In this newly created role, Jay will oversee Truckworx’s equipment sales, parts and service relationships with all government entities in Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.
Jay has worked for Truckworx for three years as our Director of Government Accounts in the state of Mississippi. Prior to starting with Truckworx in 2017, he worked for Mississippi’s Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) as the Director of Property and Fleet Management for seven years. He has served on the Mississippi Association of Governmental Purchasing and Property Agents’ (MAGPPA) Executive Board as First Vice President and continues to be an active supporter of the association.
Will Bruser, Truckworx President, says, “Because of his background, Jay offers a unique perspective to Truckworx and municipalities, allowing us to better identify municipalities’ pain points so that we can truly resolve them. He has also been able to find ways to save municipalities money and make purchasing equipment a seamless process. The program he has implemented in Mississippi has been a game changer and we look forward to putting similar programs in place in Alabama and Florida! We are excited to see what Jay will do in his new role!”

As Jay transitioned into a broader role, Truckworx saw a need for other changes to the Mississippi Municipal Sales team. First, Rebecca Cummings, who has worked with Truckworx since September of 2019, has increased her sales responsibilities as the Assistant Director of Government Affairs for Mississippi. Jay says, “When I was out for the entire month in July due to COVID, Rebecca stepped up in a major way providing equipment and services to our Mississippi customers. Without her dedication to the task and her passion to grow, there is no doubt our operations in Mississippi would have had huge negative impacts. We ended 2020 strong and Rebecca’s superstar efforts are a big part of that.”
Truckworx-Richland also recently welcomed two new faces to the municipal team in January! Samantha Raner started earlier this month as a Government Truck Sales Representative focusing in West Mississippi. Prior to starting at Truckworx, she worked for seven years for the City of Brandon fire department as a Lieutenant and Paramedic. During her career as a firefighter, she also earned a slot as a Tech Rescue Specialist with Homeland Security State Task Force, who specialize in technical search and rescue. She earned her lieutenant and paramedic status by the second year of her career as a firefighter with her task force invitation to shortly follow. Adrienne Davis was also hired to fill a newly created Municipal Sales Coordinator role. She will work directly with the municipal sales team and product manufacturers to make sure the right products are ordered to accommodate the Mississippi customer base. She will also serve as a liaison between the sales team and the dealership’s nationally acclaimed parts and service department to make sure customers are taken care of.
