Territory Account Manager – Birmingham

For Birmingham territory account manager and Truckworx’s corporate parts sales leader Autumn Ogletree, there’s more to the trucking industry than meets the eye at first glance.
A member of the Truckworx family since 2012, she quickly made a presence of herself and shot up the sales ranks, leading the company in parts sales within five years.
The important thing isn’t the number of parts sold, or even the monetary figures that go with the job, according to Autumn. It’s the planting and cultivation of relationships, both within and outside the company that makes the job special.
“This company truly has a ‘Do the right things for the right reasons’ mentality,” Ogletree said. “To me, that is on both sides of the fence. If you are a customer and you know someone is going to do the right thing for the right reason, the fact that the company’s leadership has that same mindset is a big deal. I believe in that and want to work under that.”
A veteran in the industry, Ogletree came to Truckworx after working in a different realm of the trucking business.
“I was at a large trucking company running dedicated fleets and I knew I wanted to do something different,” said Ogletree. “I interviewed for the open outside sales position because I had always been interested in trying sales.”
After accepting the position on the outside parts sales team in Birmingham, she found that she greatly appreciated and identified with the Truckworx company culture and way of doing business.
“It lines up with the principles I had already set for myself before joining the Truckworx team,” Ogletree said. “I don’t say that in a cocky way at all. My goal has always been customer service. If you can provide good customer service, you can learn the rest.”

BIRMINGHAM TERRITORY ACCOUNT MANAGER AUTUMN OGLETREE
She quickly became an inherently important part of the Truckworx family and led the Birmingham branch in parts sales in just her second full year. In 2017 while partially on maternity leave, Autumn became the first woman to be Corporate Parts Sales Leader, leading the company’s 66 parts salespeople.
“Autumn is a great human being and loves taking care of the transportation industry,” said Truckworx President Will Bruser. “Without trucks on the road, America stops and she ensures their ability to stay on the road.”
Since 2017, she hasn’t backed down and has led Truckworx in parts sales, including in 2020, when she tallied over 2.5 million dollars more in sales than the next-closest person.
“From the beginning, I knew there was something different about her,” said Truckworx Corporate Parts Manager Keith King. “She has a way of making people comfortable and at ease, which really allowed her to learn the parts business and make many long-lasting friendships along the way. She has been one of the best assets our team has and I love her like one of my own kids.”

Autumn and her husband, Landon, are the parents of three girls: Trinity, Kayla, and Isla. Outside of the workplace, Autumn cites family time of utmost importance and spending time with her kids is paramount. The family’s story couldn’t be described as traditional, but it is most definitely heartwarming.
“I did foster care by myself before I met my husband,” Ogletree said. “My first placement was with a baby in the NICU, Trinity. I was immediately attached to her and was able to adopt her at 15 months old. Landon and I met shortly after, and were married about a year later in October. The night we got engaged, after he left, DHR called me and asked me if I would take a baby for the night and of course, I said yes. After 14 months of marriage, we had Isla, and about two years later, we were finally able to adopt Kayla. It’s wild. Now we spend as much time together as possible and I love my family more than anything.”
Although her job is extremely important to her, Autumn’s family is always her primary focus. While leading the company in parts sales, she also makes time for school functions and family time.

“Truckworx does a great job of working with me if the kids have an event or something that I need to attend,” Autumn said. “For me, it’s huge to have the opportunity to excel at my job and take care of my family.”
In the end, Autumn’s commitment to doing the right things for the right reasons shines through, both in her professional and personal lives. As a territory account manager, she puts her customers first, and as a mother, she always has her three little girls on the forefront of her mind. And, there are many times when those two paths intersect.
“I love my customers like they’re my family,” she said. “I have had customers at my kids’ birthday parties and my wedding. I have been to their family dinners. I see them more than I see my coworkers a lot of times. If you surround yourself with good, hard-working people, it makes your job so much better and makes you so much more successful.”
Good, hard-working people. That’s an incredibly accurate choice of words to sum up the Truckworx family.
And, a great way to describe Autumn Ogletree.
