We are looking for a topnotch, outgoing, energetic, hardworking individual interested in selling heavy and medium duty trucks to government entities located within the state of Mississippi. This is a long term career for the right person. This position is responsible for the following:
- Analyzing requests for purchase (RFP) and bid proposals on behalf of municipalities
- Establishing new accounts
- Maintaining existing accounts
- Developing excellent relationships with state/local government officials
- Attending Mississippi tradeshows
- Performing reverse auctions
- Comfortable attending County Board/City Council Meetings
- Creating and developing company spreadsheets for management
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of our products and services to inform customers
- Performing other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Trustworthy, reliable, and professional with a personable and positive outlook
- Proven ability to sustain self-motivation
- A high degree of business acumen
- Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience with a proven record of success in building and managing relationships
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Must be computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Exceptional communication skills
- CDL preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of heavy duty trucking industry preferred but not required
- Experience with state government purchasing or sales expertise is preferred but not required
- Must be willing to travel
- Current Valid Driver’s License
- Good Driving Record
- Must be able to adapt to constantly changing priorities
