A 20-year veteran in the trucking industry, Sandy Tagert wears many hats for the service team at Truckworx-Jackson, in addition to prioritizing time with her four children and eight grandchildren. Even before joining the team in Jackson, Sandy had nothing but positive experiences with the company.
“I had always heard about Truckworx and worked with the company a little bit when I worked for a competitor,” Sandy said. “Every time I called Truckworx, each person, from the receptionist to the service department and in between, was so pleasant and everyone really seemed to enjoy their jobs.”

At Truckworx-Jackson, Sandy’s primary job is to ensure that customers are taken care of from the time they roll into the shop until the time that they leave. In her position, she greets customers and gathers all the information needed to make sure the proper repairs are done.
“My job is to take good notes based on what the customer says is going on with their truck so that our technicians can have as much information as possible and complete a quick repair,” she said. “When a unit is in the service department, it takes all hands on deck to make the job run smoothly.”
Truckworx-Jackson’s Service Manager Darron Howell recognizes how much Sandy means to his department, the branch and Truckworx as a whole.
“Sandy has been with us for over six years and she will do whatever is necessary to help our customers and team members,” Howell said. “She really is a multifaceted person and is our primary ticket-closer and go-to person for warranty issues. Sandy does everything asked of her to make sure our service department runs smoothly and operates the best it can.”
Branch Manager Barry Willoughby echoes Howell’s thoughts about Sandy’s importance to the daily workflow of the Truckworx service department in Jackson.
“All of the interactions I have had with Sandy, both personally and professionally, have left me extremely satisfied in knowing she was going to do everything possible to do the right thing for the right reason,” Willoughby said. “Customers always compliment her efforts in working diligently to resolve their problems and to communicate with them in a timely manner. Sandy always has the greatest attitude and is always smiling. She displays a positive, get-it-done attitude with every task. I can’t say enough about how valuable she is to our dealership’s success. Sandy is the person you can depend on to be on top of her game every day.”
As a service advisor, Sandy is the primary point of contact for truckers whose units are in the shop.

“You may not always agree with the customer but you have to remember that they may not be having the best day when their truck is in the shop,” Sandy said. “Making their visit with us as pleasant and positive in the best way I know how is what doing the right thing for the right reason truly means to me.”
Although she enjoys the many different facets of the job, one part in particular stands out to Sandy.
“My favorite part of my job is getting to tell the customer that their truck is ready to roll,” Tagert said. “Nothing makes a trucker happier than getting back on the road and nothing makes me happier than telling them that their problem has been resolved.”
A mother of four and grandmother of eight, Sandy has been happily married to her husband Mitch for the past 20 years. The couple loves spending time outdoors, including camping, boating, fishing and hunting. Sandy and Mitch also own a 1994 TJ Unlimited Jeep that they enjoy taking on back roads and beaches.
“My biggest priority and the thing that makes me happiest in life is my family,” she said. “My children, Quin, Brandie, Mitchell and Heyleigh, and my grandkids, Kenzie, Abbi, Maddox, Avery, Rhett, Reeves, JD and Slayton are why I do what I do.”
A hard-working mother and Nana who truly puts the customer first, Sandy is someone who lights up any room she walks into and brings a definite sense of positivity to Truckworx-Jackson and the individuals around her.
